This is a known bug that has admittedly been on our to-do list for a long time. It has proven to be very difficult to solve. We are still working on it.

What Darrel suggested will work, but I am curios to find out what went wrong. Do you no longer see the text box to type in your search? Can you try again and see if it happens again? Because I could not cause this to happen.

Thanks

I have not been able to reproduce this. Please check to see if the task is a repeating task and let us know if you can reproduce it reliably or if it is a random event.

All of the unix timestamps are in GMT. I just checked it again, and I am pretty sure. If you have a series of steps that indicate otherwise, please share them with us.

API 2.0 no longer has the server time field because it isn't necessary for syncing and was actually leading people down a path that was causing more sync problems that otherwise. You do not need to know the server time to sync. If you are concerned about how to generate the value for modafter, you can allow us to generate it for you via the account/get.php call which gives you the "lastedit_task" timestamp. All you need to do is cache this and you'll have a record of the last time you synced. You could also use the largest of the modified timestamps returned from the previous tasks/get.php call that you ran.

Well, you learn something new every day.

They use something called JSONP to do that, and our API would need to provide explicit support for this, which we don't yet because I didn't know about it. I'll put it on the to-do list.

Thanks for pointing this out.

As far as I am aware, Google does not allow anything to sync with Google Tasks. This may change in the future and if it does we will consider it.

Today we are happy to release a frequently requested feature: Collaboration Alerts.

With collaboration alerts, it is now possible to be notified whenever someone edits your to-do list, or when a task that you have assigned to someone else gets modified.

Every important action performed by a collaborator is logged. You can view this log by going to the "Sharing" section at the top of the left sidebar and then clicking the "Track Changes" link. From here you will also have the option of receiving an email alert when new actions are added to the list.

We have not noticed any problems with TaskJot or Outlook syncing. I just checked and can see that other people are syncing fine with those apps. Perhaps you changed your password or login and didn't update it in the apps that you are using.

For T1, you'll need to create two copies of the task that each repeat every 3 days and then set the due-dates to be one day apart.

This has nothing to do with jQuery or Toodledo. There is a built in security mechanism in all web browsers that prevents javascript from accessing resources on other domains.

I am sorry for the inconvenience. I have reverted it back, so it should be working again. The documentation clearly indicates the required authentication mechanism, but we should have been more cautious in fixing this bug. In the future, we will make more announcements about pending changes to the API that might cause backwards incompatibility. Please update your app with the necessary authentication and let us know when it is ready so that we can fix the bug for good.

I just reverted it back to the way it was before. I'll leave it this way for 2 weeks and then put it back to requiring authentication.

Are you talking about the account/lookup.php API method? Please read here:

http://www.toodledo.com/forums/7/9575/-1/did-lookup-account-api-change.html

How long will it take you to update your code to authenticate the way that the API documentation requires?
