Unfortunately, this isn't possible, but it is on our to-do list. However, we can't comment on a timeframe for implementation.

Thanks

Im not sure if you will get an error message. What will happen is that the parent wont be set and the subtask will just be a regular task without a parent. I'll make sure we produce an error message for this.

We are painfully aware that our last few updates have been buggy. This is because we completely rewrote the underlying database layer inside the app. We had a lot of important reasons for doing this, but this major rewrite introduced and reintroduced some bugs. We have been working very hard on testing this, but obviously we were missing some scenarios. We think we are very close to having these kinks ironed out. There are only 3 bugs being reported for version 2.1.3

1) due-date "quick dates" showing the selected date off by 1 day in some timezones
2) sorting by "date added" may cause the list to appear empty in combination with sorting on folder, context, goal, location
3) sorting and grouping by tag is not working correctly when you use the same tag with different capitalizations in different places, and if tags sometimes have spaces in front of them and sometimes not.

We are submitting these fixes to Apple today. We apologize for the inconveniences that we have caused. We are going to be spending a lot more time working on quality control and testing in the future.

1) You can set it on the website by address. You'll need to Google the address since we don't yet have an address lookup feature.

2) We currently don't support this. You'll have to pick your favorite toy store.

3) That is up to you.

4) A Location without a GPS coordinate will work fine except it wont show up on the map.

The language of the app is determined by the language of your device, so if you have your iPad set to German, the app will also be in German. In a future update, we plan to allow you to switch this. You can also help us with the translation here: http://www.toodledo.com/translate

We've made a lot of behind the scenes changes in recent updates to prepare for future updates, and we are still working out the kinks a little. One of the things we are implementing is unit-tests for the entire app so that we can have better quality control. We realize that the last few releases have been buggy and we are working hard to resolve this.

We have a bug that causes the list to be empty when you are sorting by "date added" in combination with sorting by folder, context, goal or location. Please try to avoid these sort combinations until our next update is released. Sorry for the inconvenience.

If you have set alarms to come from the device (local alarms), then Toodledo will no longer appear under Push notification settings. You can pick if you want alarms to be push (from the website) or local by going to the Alarm settings section in our app.

We use an Apple technology called "Significant Location Change" to determine location in the background and Apple only supports this on devices with a GPS or 3G antennae. When the app is open and running, we can use your wifi location, but this is not available in the background for generating proximity alerts because Apple has not made this possible.

Location alerts require a GPS or 3G antenna. We don't know where you are without these, so it will not work on iPods or Wifi only iPads.

Ok, we have now discovered that if you sort by "date-added" in combination with sorting by folder, context, goal or location, the list will appear empty. We will get this fixed soon, but in the meantime please avoid sorting your list by this combination.

There are 2,208,000 different combination of sort fields, directions and filters. We are unable to test them all, which is how this bug slipped through. I do apologize. We are working on a testing program that can automatically test all the combinations so that we can verify that they all work in the future.

From the API documentation:

duedate : A GMT unix timestamp for when the task is due. The time component of this timestamp will always be noon.

duetime : A GMT unix timestamp for when the task is due. If the task does not have a time set, then this will be 0. If the task has a duetime without a duedate set, then the date component of this timestamp will be Jan 1, 1970.

All dates and times are stored as GMT. You set it as 11:00 and then retrieve it as 11:00. You should not have to adjust this by your timezone. The task will always be due at 11:00 no matter where you are. This is what is called a "floating time", since it is 11:00 in whatever timezone you are in.

There are two different types of alarms.

1) Due-date based alarms. These trigger then at a particular time and can be sent from the website (push) or from the device (local) depending on your settings.

2) Location based alarms. These are totally separate and are only triggered from the device when you get near a location with active tasks. Syncing or push notifications are not necessary since the website is not aware of your location.

Adding a task to a location that you are currently at will not trigger a proximity alert until you leave that location and return.
