As far as I know, there is no way around this at the moment. Google assumes that you are in the Pacific Timezone. We can probably fix this on our side by adjusting all the times, and we are looking into this. Improving calendar syncing is one of our top tasks.

You might be able to do this with a browser plugin like "Stylish", but it isn't possible from within Toodledo to hide some parts of the website that you aren't using.

I am sorry if it wasn't clear what is supported in our iPhone app. Our iPhone app only has a subset of the total functionality of this website. On the description page in the App Store we describe everything that it can do. Collaboration is not listed as a feature for the iPhone app, but we are working hard to implement it.

If you would like a refund, please create a support ticket and we can do that for you.

Thanks for the feedback. You can share in read-only mode on Toodledo right now, but if you need to assign tasks to other people, this is a Pro feature at this time.

Collaboration isn't supported in our iPhone app yet, but it is high on our to-do list.

As for the main website, if you have setup collaboration, then you should be able to switch to their list by using the "Collaborators" link in the toolbar at the top of your list. Here is some more information about collaboration: http://www.toodledo.com/info/sharing.php

Have you tried our XML backup/restore options? I just tested this and it did not cause start-dates to be set when there wasn't one to begin with. If I read your question correctly, I think this is happening to you because you are using the iCal export option as your backup, which is not what it was intended to be. The iCal file will calculate the start-date of a task based on it's due-date, time and length as described here. This is so that tasks appear on third-party calendars properly. Without setting a start-date in the iCal file, everything would show up as an all-day event.

Its all in my head and on our list, which is the most important place for it to be.

I will elaborate to make my statement more clear. A title, summary, prioritization and estimated length for every suggestion is recorded in our list. What is "in my head" are the technical details, the "how am I going to do this", about implementing each suggestion. To make a simplistic example, if your task is "Buy a widget", you don't need to write down "Drive to the store, open the door, go to aisle 4, etc". That stuff is in your head. That is all that I was trying to say.

In response to those who are astonished that support is provided by the developers instead of by hiring a dedicated support person, I just want to say that we are considering hiring a dedicated support person, but our concern is that the level of support would actually decrease. Nobody knows the inner workings of Toodledo better than the developers and we can provide the highest level of support. We think that this is what sets Toodledo apart from others.

The argument against the last paragraph is that my "it's on my to-do list" auto-reply is not "good support". To that, I would say, that you are probably right. This is one short-cut that I have to retain for my own productivity. But for urgent issues, bugs and support tickets with specific questions/problems we often reply within hours with bug fixes, answers, or advice.

I fully understand the frustration that people have with offering a suggestion and then not seeing it implemented for months or years. I would feel the same way. All I can say is that we get far more suggestions than we can possibly implement in a reasonable timeframe and that we have to prioritize based on our unique knowledge of the business. We have never stopped working extremely hard on Toodledo. What has changed, in my view, is that as our userbase grows, these forums see more usage, which causes our limitations to be more vocally and more frequently discussed, and this shifts the perception away from the stuff that we are really good at. Nobody is more acutly aware of our limitations that we are, and we are working as hard as we can to overcome these obstacles.

It depends on what you are syncing with. Some third-party apps (like the Outlook syncing tool) cut off long notes. You'll have to contact the company that makes the third-party app that you are using to report the bug.

Try "Sync on Edit". That will do a sync every time you edit anything in the app.

Before the change (which was several versions ago, by the way) you would have to back all the way out of wherever you were (many clicks) to get to the sync button and then you would lose your place. Now, you can tap on the "Settings" button (1 click) and the sync button is right there in the top corner. Tap it to start a sync, and then you can switch back to the tasks tab and you haven't lost your place. We think that this is better and quicker.

Also, you can turn on auto-sync in the settings and Toodledo will magically sync for you without you having to worry about it.

As you mentioned, generating a pull down list of every parent task, is difficult. A workaround is to create a saved search for parent tasks. Then you can quickly go to this list and use the action menu to add a subtask directly to the parent that you need.

Thanks for the suggestion. We can't comment on a timeframe for implementation, but this is on our to-do list.
