Hi,

I'm sorry you were inconvenienced by TaskAngel's default projects and contexts. They will be removed in the next version, so the only addition from TaskAngel will be a single "Welcome to TaskAngel" task.

Regards,
Andrew

Hi,

1.3 is in the final stages of test now, so it should be available quite soon.

Hi David,

TaskAngel should handle tags transparently even now, but this hasn't been extensively tested. On the other hand, we haven't had complaints about people losing tags.

If you can bear to wait, my advice would be to hang on until TaskAngel 1.3, which will support tags fully.

Andrew

Hi Toodledo,

In the API documentation, when talking about task notes, you say "Please encode the & character as %26 and the ; character as %3B." It would be useful if you could point out that other special characters have to be encoded too - for example #. Also I believe this applies to other text fields - like passwords and the task subject - not just notes?

Also, although you say notes can be 32K in length, there seems to be a restriction in the length of a URI, which effectively restricts the length of a note to around 5000 characters. It would be good to know the exact rule we have to obey here to avoid errors.

Thanks,
Andrew

Hi Alisa,

That's a relief. I hope this explains the problems you mentioned in your last three posts.

TaskAngel always hides task with negative priority, unless you select Priority Negative in the Filter Panel.

Best wishes,
Andrew

Hi Alisa,

In TaskAngel, you can set the frequency of a repeating subtask to "With Parent". If the parent task is set to repeat, then when you complete it, all of its subtasks are automatically repeated, whether you marked them as complete or not.

Is this a better workaround for you?

Please make sure you have Build 132 of TaskAngel. This fixes a problem with repeating subtasks going into the wrong position on the task list. Please visit our download page at http://www.mypocketsoft.com/taskangel/download.aspx

Andrew

Hi Alisa,

I'm sorry we messed up your optional tasks. Toodledo is such a great service, rich in features. It will take us a while to catch up.

Best wishes,

Andrew

Hi Dave,

Thanks.

Currently the subtasks are indented if their parent task is visible (not filtered out). The text of the task is indented, but not any of the other columns.

On Toodledo, the whole of the row is indented, but that's not going to be easy to do because of the architecture of TaskAngel.

Subtasks could be indicated in other ways - like changing the font color - but that would spoil the clean look we've tried to create.

In the end it's a matter of personal preference - anyone else want to give us an opinion about this?

Thanks,
Andrew

Hi tek,

Thanks for your message. I've added booklet printing to the enhancement list. Meanwhile, TaskAngel does have some useful printing features, that might be worth a try.

Yes, TaskAngel does a true two-way sync of adds/changes/deletes with Toodledo.

Thanks,
Andrew

Hi Alisa,

Subtasks are subject to whatever filters you have set. If you've lost some of your subtasks, try setting your filter to All Tasks and check 'Show completed'. Do they show up then?

The optional repeat feature for subtasks works the same in TaskAngel as it does in Toodledo. Here is how Toodledo describes it:

<quote>
Repeating Subtasks
If you have a subtask that is set to repeat, it will automatically reschedule itself and remain within its parent task each time that you complete it.
Repeating Tasks with Subtasks
If you have a task that is set to repeat and this task contains subtasks, those subtasks may or may not get carried forward depending on your settings. To have a subtask carried forward when you complete a repeating parent task, you must set the subtask to repeat in some fashion. Subtasks have an additional repeating option of "With Parent" which can be used when you only want to complete a subtask once within each occurrence of the parent task. Subtasks that do not repeat are considered to be one-time tasks that will not be carried forward when you complete the parent task.
<end quote>

If TaskAngel seems not to be working like this for you, please give me details of the incorrect behaviour.

Thanks,

Andrew

Thank you very much for your words of encouragement.

TaskAngel 1.2 will have subtasks. When it's ready I'll let you know via this forum. Tags and advanced filters are still on our todo list.
