Wow, I can't believe we missed that. Even with the keyboard shortcut additions that we made today. Sorry. We'll get that in the next update for sure.

Other to-do sites have manual sorting because they don't have any of the other sorting methods that we have (due-date, importance, priority, etc). When you try to have both sorting by criteria and manual sorting, it gets really messy and confusing.

We already have extensive usage of ajax.

Continuing on yesterdays batch of small improvements we have a few more for today.

1) The QuickSearch functionality has been optimized and improved. It can now search through several thousand tasks without causing the browser to slow down. It also fixed a few bugs with searching inside indented subtasks.

2) You can now add a task from the calendar view.

3) Added a bunch more keyboard shortcuts. For a description of all of them, check here. Most of the functions in the toolbars will now have a keyboard shortcut.

4) Fixed a display bug with Internet Explorer 8 when using Multi-line view and editing tags.

5) Fixed a bug where the "clone task" function would not work on the scheduler or calendar pages.

6) Fixed a bug where saving and then quickly re-editing a note would cause the newline/return characters to be removed.

The priorities of users who post in the forums are well known to us, and we continue to work on them. The thing is that most of those common requests (offline support, task dependency, infinite subtask levels, etc) are big ticket items that take a lot of time. We continue to work on these and other common requests but we also like to take care of some quicker things so that things continually get better. And bug fixes are usually higher priority than new functionality. And to be honest, some requests we haven't figured out how to do yet.

When it really comes down to it, we have a list that is prioritized according to how important we think it is to Toodledo. User requests are factored into this prioritization. When I am looking for something new to work on, I sort by priority and scan down the list until something sounds interesting. I understand that users may be confused when we implement something that seems less important that something else, but sometimes that is where my motivation takes me.

Anyone is welcome to make an unofficial feature list if they want to, but we don't want to make an official feature list for a variety of reasons. I've explained this before, but I'll summarize here. Listing all our future feature improvements would limit our freedom and flexibility because we would feel pressured to work down the list instead of what we want to work on or what we think would be best for Toodledo even if it isn't on the list. Also, listing out all of our future features would tip off our competitors about what we have planned and we'd rather have some secrets. Also, our feature list has over 500 things on it right now, so it would be overwhelming to people.

The pessimist in me also doubts that having such a list would cut back on duplicate requests. I suspect that most people wouldn't take the time to search for before posting.

We do plan to improve the calendar view so that it is more like a regular view. We actually wanted to get rid of the "history" link altogether since it is just a shortcut to a search that you can do yourself, but we know that a lot of people depend on this shortcut, so we left it in place, but made it function a little better.

We are trying to reduce clutter, so we are going to leave the link out of the sidebar. I know it may take a little getting used to, but I am sure that after a day or two you won't even remember that it has moved.

We have just released a few small improvements and bug fixes.

1) The Calendar page has been promoted to a full view. The link has been moved from the sidebar up to the top in the "View By" section.

2) Saved Booklets will now have the option of being download in Letter as well as A4 sized paper.

3) A saved search that was using a field that you no longer have displayed on your list, will now be correctly editable.

4) The "History" link in the sidebar has always been a shortcut to the "Recently Completed" tab on the main view. We are switching this to link to the "Search" page with a pre-filled search. This will make it easier and quicker to adjust the date-range for the completed tasks that you want to find.

The goal note is not accessible via the API yet, but we hope to add it in a future update. I don't have an ETA, but it should be in the next API update.

Sorry, there isn't a way to delete all folders without creating a new account. If you need me to transfer a subscription from one account to another, I can do that, just be sure to transfer the subscription before deleting the old account. Open a support ticket if you want to go this route.

We do plan to allow reminders to be set via the API which would allow third party apps, like the outlook sync tool to sync this information.

This is probably because you have made the "reassign" column to narrow, which has caused the "Do it / Cancel" buttons to be hidden behind the next column. You need to press the "Do it" button for the reassignment to take affect. We hope to improve this in a future update.

I have also been unable to replicate the problem. Anders has the critical question. On the rescheduled task that doesn't result in a reminder, is the reminder checkbox checked?

Do you complete the task on the iPhone or website?

I don't think it is possible for a task synced manually to be treated any differently from a task synced using autosync. They are both sent to the website in the exact same way, the only difference is if it is done immediately, or a little later. The fact that the task shows up on Toodledo.com means that it is syncing correctly.

I can't explain why the Outlook tool isn't syncing it from Toodledo, you'll have to ask the developer.
