Yes, you can create or edit a task on the iPhone to get a push notification reminder. Tap on a task to view the details, then tap on "remind me" and select one of the options. Then be sure to sync this to the website so that the reminder will be sent.

It won't be possible in the email to see the parent task, but if you come to this website, you can click the subtask icon which will load up the parent in it's place.

We tried to fix it in version 1.5.2 but we slipped that bug fix to 1.5.3, which you can download now from the App Store.

This won't happen with our iPhone application. You must be using a third-party iPhone app, so you will need to contact their support line.

As far as I know, XMLHttpRequest cannot work across domains, so I don't think it is possible. You'll need to create a bridge using some other programming language.

Toodledo will be undergoing scheduled maintenance on Wednesday Aug 12th at 7pm CST. During this maintenance window, we will be migrating everything over to our newer, better, faster, stronger servers. You can read more about the migration here: http://www.toodledo.com/forums/1/2581/0/toodledo-migrating-to-new-servers.html

During this maintenance window, Toodledo will be offline. We will try to keep it to a minimum, but we do expect it to take at least 30 minutes.

If you need access to your to-do list during this window, we suggest that you plan ahead and print out a copy, or export it as a CSV file that you can load into a spreadsheet.

The Notebook API has now been published so developers can start building applications that sync with the Notebook.

This wikipedia page explains SMS gateways and may have some information about your specific carrier.

It depends on what screen you are on. For example, if you are on the "due-today" screen and have your filter set to hide completed tasks, then when you complete a repeating task, it will show the completed task, and it will show the automatically rescheduled task for convenience. Since neither of these tasks really belong on the "due-today" list, they will be removed the next time the list refreshes (by going out and then back in).

The reason why the tab character doesn't work anywhere on the internet is because of the way HTML was designed. In HTML, all consecutive spaces are compressed down to one space by the web browser. For example, there are 10 spaces between these quotes " ".

Additionally, it isn't even possible to type a tab character into any web form because the web browser uses the "tab" key to move to the next field.

That is just the way that the web works, unfortunately.

As Anders said, a subtask is designed to be steps towards the parent task. Therefore, if you complete the parent task, it makes sense that the subtasks are no longer relevant, and are therefor automatically completed. Repeating subtasks are designed for people who have repeating parent tasks that have the same subtasks each time. Thus, when you reschedule the parent, all the repeating subtasks get rescheduled as well.

Hopefully, this will work for you, but if not you might try using folders/tasks instead of tasks/subtasks.
