Each event/todo is contained in a block of text that start with "BEGIN:VTODO" or "BEGIN:VEVENT" and end with "END:VTODO" or "END:VEVENT" As long as you keep these blocks of text in tack and keep the header and footers in tact, you should be able to cut and past events and todos into smaller files and upload them individually.

The other thing is that a 29MB iCal file is humungous. I'll bet that it has some embedded files in it . If you can remove these, as well as completed tasks, I'm sure you can get under the 1 MB limit

I wanted to say one more thing. When you put your to-do list on Toodledo, you are putting it in the cloud. The cloud is great for a lot of reasons, which I'm not going to go into here because I'm assuming that you are all convinced of the benefits already, otherwise you wouldn't be using Toodledo.

The one big drawback to the cloud is availability. Toodledo may be down, our data center may have issues, your ISP may have problems, your internet connection may be down, your browser may be misbehaving, or any of a number of other things. Toodledo will never have the same availability as paper and pencil. By using the cloud, you have to accept that uptime will not be 100%. If you cannot tolerate temporary unavailability on occasion, then Toodledo (or any other cloud service) is not appropriate for your situation.

That said, we are working extraordinarily hard to minimize the downtime caused by things under our control. It may be bad for you to lose access to your to-do list, but it is immeasurably worse for us as a company.

It is hardware related. Toodledo has been growing very fast and it has been difficult to keep up with demand. We upgraded our servers in January with extra capacity, but we are already running out so we are upgrading again to get even more. So, today's brief outage can be attributed to growing pains.

The previous outages were unrelated. They were caused by our datacenter's infrastructure which is outside of our control.

We are currently migrating to a new datacenter and new upgraded servers. This should solve both of the above problems and also give us more built in redundancy. This will make us more protected from events like this in the future.

A few minutes ago we experienced a brief spike in traffic that caused our servers to get overloaded. During this approximately 15 minute window you may or may not have been able to access Toodledo. It looks like about half of the connections failed. We're not really sure what caused it right now, but the traffic has died down and everything is back to normal.

We are in the midst of migrating to new servers with more redundancy and capacity, so hopefully these types of events will be a thing of the past.

This currently isn't possible but it is planned for a future update. Right now, each task must be owned by a single person. As a work around, you could create a shared account that everyone has access to.

folder ids and task ids are totally separate. There can be a folder and an unreleated task with the same number.

I am sure that Appigo is working on a 3.0 update, but you'll have to ask them to find out for certain.

This is the only way that I know of to sync the Notebook.

We thought we had fixed it in 1.5.2, but it turns out that it wasn't fully fixed. The real fix will be in version 1.5.3. If you can't wait for 1.5.3, you can stop the annoying messages by enabling syncing with the website and then immediately canceling the sync. You can then delete your online account if you wish. This will reset the sync settings on the iPhone and prevent the annoying popup. Sorry about this.

What we really should do is detect what fields the user has configured on the website and mirror that on the iPhone. This is on our to-do list. The reason why we only enable certain fields be defaults is to avoid overwhelming new users with fields that we know are used less frequently.

The easiest way is to go into the App Store on the iPhone and tap on the "Updates" tab at the bottom of the screen.

The toggle state of the task's details should be saved from view to view. So, if you set it up the way you want it in the "Main" view, and then switch to a different view and then switch back, it should remember everything. If this isn't happening, it may be because of your web browser and if you open a support ticket I can try to give you some additional help.

According to our internal records, the Outlook sync app installed on your account synced today, so maybe it didn't get fully uninstalled.

Can you please describe what sort of "freezing" is happening. And what version of Firefox you have. And any other details that you think might be pertinent.

Thanks

This is a bug that was introduced in version 1.5.2 and fixed in version 1.5.3. We didn't catch this, nor did our 50 beta testers. Probably because it is depends on your network speed and activity. It will sometimes crash if you are scrolling your list at the same time that a sync finishes.

Until 1.5.3 comes out (maybe 1 week depending on Apple's review), you can disable "sync on edit" and do your syncing manually.

Yes, you need to schedule a reminder for at least 5 minutes into the future for it to have time to get into the system.
