There is a solution for this already, but it requires installing some software on your computer. There are many different macro expanders that you can use. For the Mac, I use TextExpander and I have a macro !d that expands to the current date. The good thing is that this works in any application that I use (not just Toodledo Notebook). Its a great way to type repetitive things.

Currently the best you can do is have it repeat on the 1st, or have it repeat on the 28th. If you set a monthly repeating task for the 29th-31st, it will eventually get moved backwards to the 28th as it moves into months that have fewer days. We want to add a "last day of the month" option in a future update.

If the date picker vanished after the first click, it would not allow the user to pick a new time. If you double click the date, it will dismiss the date picker right away. As I typed that last sentence, I just realized that you may not be using the time field, in which case there isn't really a good reason for keeping the date picker around after a single click. I'll see if we can optimize this further for people who don't use times.

Jake Toodledo Admin	Posted Apr 20, 2009 in: Some fine-tuning of the new date/time picker Score: 0 Jake (Admin) Posted: Apr 20, 2009 Score: 0 Today we have made a few adjustments to the way the new date-picker and keyboard commands work. 1) You can now double click a date to quickly select it and make the calendar disappear. 2) Tab and Shift-Tab will now work correctly to move forwards and backwards through fields. 3) When adding a task and editing a date, pressing the "return" key will no longer cause the form to lose keyboard focus. ie. You can press return to set the date and press it again to add the task. 4) When editing a date, keyboard shortcuts will no longer be ignored after dismissing the calendar. 5) When clicking to edit a date, the date will now be selected so you can start typing right away. Score: 1 Jake (Admin) Posted: Apr 20, 2009 Score: 1 We have full offline support via the iPhone, and we have read-only offline support with our iCal subscriptions which you can import into a variety of offline calendar apps (Google Calendar, Apple iCal, Outlook, etc). True offline support on our website in the browser is definitely still on our to-do list, but it is a huge project for us. We know that RTM has had it for awhile, and we give them kudos for that. We designed Toodledo before offline support existed, and some design decisions we made back then are making it hard for us to retrofit offline support in now.

We hope to do this this week. However, the iCal subscriptions (Live iCal Links) do support start-time.
