Sorry, we don't comment on release dates, but it is definitely something that we want to add.

This topic is getting a little off topic, and its getting hard to follow everyone's different threads, so lets please try to refocus on the subject of this topic. Feel free to make a new post if you want to discuss something else. Here are answers to the questions that I remember from above.

1) We will never have ads
2) If your optional tasks aren't moving, please create a support ticket
3) Thanks for the bug about the 'n' shortcut not working after editing a date
4) My name is Jake

Sorry. It is still in the works. We got diverted last year by the iPhone, which was a big project (and a successful one, I might add). Incidentally, the iPhone does provide offline access, but obviously not the kind that you want. It is still on our to-do list, but it is a very very big project to do correctly. We know that RTM has it, and we wish we had it too.

This is not currently possible, but it has been requested before and it is on our to-do list.

Here is how I understand it. There are two types of people. Mouse people and Keyboard people.

The keyboard people can use tab or return to save the date. There has been a request for shift-tab to move backwards. There was also a request to make the add-task form not lose keyboard focus when pressing return on a date. We plan to fix both of these issues. Otherwise, keyboard people are pretty happy.

The mouse people are a little bothered that they have to move the mouse all the way outside of the date picker box for it to go away and save the results. If you exclusively use a mouse, editing dates is slower now. The solution that we are prototyping is to support double clicking on a date to instantly set it and make the date box go away.

We hope to have all these tweaks accomplished sometime over the weekend, assuming nothing else comes up.

It is probably due to the C# API using the API excessively. You should definitely cache the token and reuse it until it expires. If the API notices more than one token request every 15 minutes it will start throttling the connection out of self preservation.

Another thing you can do is create and use an AppID. If you create a support ticket and explain your usage and give us your AppID, we can give you an exemption to the API limitations.

Sometimes Google has a hiccup. My advice would be to try again. If it still won't work, create a private support ticket and post the link to your iCal feed and we'll check it out.

Thanks for the bug report on tabbing through fields. We are working on getting shift+tab to work as well as some other tweaks to keyboard navigation to make it faster.

You have to allow midnight to pass naturally for the task that you want to move forward. If you artificially change your timezone so that the task is now older than midnight, it really confuses Toodledo about when that task is actually due.

I just re-tested things and the iCal date/time is working as we explained in our first post. Also, the Tab and Return keys are working to move and save the date/time.

If these aren't working for you, please open a support ticket so we can address your issue individually. It may be specific to your web browser or OS, so please provide as much detail in your support ticket as possible.

Stefan, optional tasks are moved forward at midnight in your timezone. Check your account settings to make sure your timezone is set correctly.

Thanks

For me, projects are folders.

And I don't really keep track of task dependency. If a task can't be worked on for whatever reason, I give it a "waiting" status. During my weekly review, I'll look at all the tasks that are "waiting" and if any of their prerequisites have been done, I'll remove the "waiting" status.

We know that people really want task dependency so that tasks are automatically hidden if they are dependent on another task, and we do plan to build this. For me, it is much faster and more efficient to manage this manually with a weekly review that it would be to record all the complex inter-relationships between all my tasks.

You could use the "tag" field to track the ECO number. This would be searchable and sortable.

Do we use our own website? Of course we do!

When we use the auto-reply "Thanks for the suggestion", that's actually a button that we push which automatically adds the idea to our to-do list and links it back to the forum post for reference. Same thing with our support tickets. We are the biggest users of our own product.

The booklet is in dire need of an update and it is on our to-do list. The booklet currently only displays subtasks in the "flattened" mode, so subtasks are sorted with their parent tasks and may appear before or after them depending on the sort criteria.
