Today we are releasing a big update centered around how dates work.

1) The main thing that people will notice is that the Due-Date and Due-Time fields have been combined. We did this for two reasons. First, almost nobody uses due-time without using due-date. This is logical. A time makes no sense without a date. What you are trying to do is mark a point in time when a task is due, and that requires both a date and a time. It is logical and helpful for these fields to be in the same place. Second, because we have added more and more fields as we have matured, horizontal screen real-estate has become very valuable. We noticed that people who enable the due-time field actually use it for fewer than 10% of their tasks. This was causing a lot of wasted space on the screen. By compressing the time into the date and only showing it in the 10% of cases where it matters, we were able to free up a lot of horizontal space, which means that you will now have room for more fields with less horizontal scrolling.

You still have the option of only using dates without times, and you can still input a time without a date (although we don't understand the purpose of this).

2) The second big improvement is that we have added the Start-Time field and combined it with Start-Date in the same way. With this addition, it is now possible to accurately bookend an event or task with specific start and end times. For example, a meeting can now be specified as starting at 4:30 and ending at 5:30. This wasn't possible before, and this makes our next enhancement possible...

3) When syncing your tasks to a calendar, like iCal or Google Calendar, the tasks will now be properly placed on the calendar at the time of day when they occur. You use start-date, start-time, due-date and due-time to specific when the event will appear on the calendar. If you omit one of the dates, we'll use the other date. If you omit one of the times, we will attempt to calculate it from the "length" field, otherwise it will be a zero length task or and all-day event if no times are specified. This should give people the flexibility that they need to keep track of tasks and events. Along with this, we have also fixed two iCal related bugs. Timezones will now be correctly applied, and non-english characters such as Chinese or Russian will now appear correctly in Google Calendar.

4) In your account settings, it is now possible to pick whether you want the week to start on Sunday or Monday. You can also specify your time preference to be am/pm or military time. A lot of people asked for these preferences, so we are happy to finally have them.

5) Toodledo will now display dates as "Yesterday", "Today" and "Tomorrow" to make it more obvious when a nearby task starts, or is due. If you want to see the actual date, you can hover your mouse over the word and it will popup the date.

6) The "Advanced Due-date modifiers" which have previously been a semi-secret are now easily accessible. With this feature, you can easily specify whether a task is due "By", "On", "After", or "Optionally on" the specified due-date. This helps organize your tasks and affects how tasks are displayed and how they repeat. For more on this, please read our help section

7) There are now a variety of "Quick Dates", which you can click to quickly enter common dates (today, tomorrow, next week, etc). This makes it faster to enter certain tasks, and it provides a quick way to postpone a task to a future date without hunting through the calendar or typing in a new date.

We are aware of the partial tag bug. We hope to fix that soon.

As for the "All Tags" thing. It should say "Any Tag" and it is correct for it to show everything. I cant believe nobody pointed that out before. Thanks

Or, you could edit the due-date manually to push it ahead to the next occurrence, thus skipping the current occurrence.

It depends on how many notes you have and how long your notes are, but on average a single task consumes 500bytes. So, if you have 2000 tasks, that is 1MB, which is pretty small.

The 1MB upload limit is sometimes to high. I really depends on the number of tasks that you have. Try taking the CSV file and splitting it into two smaller files. You can do this in any text editor via cut and paste. These should import without a problem.

The booklet currently does not support non-english characters. This has been on our to-do list for a long time, and its a very long and expensive project so we haven't gotten to it yet. Sorry. We will.

We ran into some unexpected issues, so we were not able to launch this weekend. Sorry to get everyone's hopes up. This is why we don't usually post timetables.

It will be out very soon.

Yes, I agree with Anders. If you use one account and give everyone the password, it will be pretty easy for the secretary to manage everything. Of course, all employees will have access to everyone else's list, so this may not be what you want.

If you use our collaboration options, each employee can have their own private account and the secretary can be setup with permission to edit/add tasks to anyone's list.

It sounds like you have installed the ToodledoSync application for Outlook syncing to Toodledo.com. This is a third-party application and is not supported by us. Try posting your question in the "Third-Party Forum" or ask the developer directly at http://www.chromadrake.com/ChromaticDragon/software/ToodledoSyncInfo.aspx

We haven't used ReQall, but it sounds like they are putting their own generic subject in there, instead of the one that you input. Your message must be in the email body, which will show up as a note in Toodledo.

Maybe someone who uses it will have a suggestion.

Our Palm importer was designed for Palm Desktop 5. When Palm upgraded to version 6, it broke our importer and we haven't yet been able to reverse engineer their file format. You could try using the CSV importer instead of the Palm TDA importer. If I remember correctly, Palm Desktop has a CSV export option.

Yeah, Toodledo doesn't actually process payments. We use PayPal and Google Checkout (your choice), so the payment actually goes through them. We never see your credit card number. And you never type your zipcode into our website.
