Its possible that the folder still has some tasks in it, but that your filters are hiding them. For example, you could have a negative priority task, or a completed task in the folder.

If all you want to do is change the name of the folder, you can do this inside the folder setup page and you wont have to move all the tasks from one folder to another.

When you check off a task, it will remain visible until you change tabs, re-sort the list or refresh the page. This is on purpose because it allows you to uncheck a task if you checked it by mistake. If the task vanished instantly, it would not be possible to correct mistakes like this.

If you have status enabled, under the "filters" link near the top left side of your to-do list, there should be a "Hide/Show deferred tasks" filter. You don't have this?

The Toodledo API makes it easy for developers to interact with their tasks and make new and interesting applications.

Our API uses a REST interface, which is a simple format that allows you to make queries by constructing a URL and making an HTTP GET request. The server responds with an XML document containing the information that you requested.

More information is available in our API documentation: http://api.toodledo.com/2/index.php

Please feel free to ask questions about the API, request additions to the API, or share your application with the community.

Our news RSS feed will contain updates to the API.

Also, good idea about a developers forum. We'll add that.

"This week" actually means "in the next 7 days".
And "this month" actually means "in the next 30 days".

If you hover your mouse over the tab, you will see this description popup. We should probably change the name of the tabs, but "in the next 30 days" would make the tab really long.

Also, make sure you check the "remember me" checkbox if you want your login credentials saved.

The "Hide Future Tasks" setting under Account Settings will still apply to tasks that don't have a start date but do have a future due-date.

When you add a task, it immediately pops up right there at the top of your list so you can quickly star it with one click. It actually wouldn't save any time to have it the way people are suggesting (Add+Star vs Star+Add), but it does seem more logical, so we will add it to our list for a future update.

Thanks for the suggestion

It was fixed yesterday, but we forgot to mention it. Tasks with a start date that is not today or older will be hidden when the "hide future tasks" filter is enabled.

Toodledo does not currently officially support Windows Mobile or Blackberry phones, but this is something that we would like to support in the future.

Some people have had limited success with our HTML version of Toodledo, which you can find here: http://www.toodledo.com/html/

Thanks for the suggestions. I just wanted to point out that we do have a field for keeping track of the length (both estimated and actual) of an event/todo. If you don't see it, you will need to go into your account settings to turn this field on.

You are correct that the Scheduler had not yet been updated to take the start-date into account, but we just did this, so you should be all set to go. :)

eSwami,

I am sorry if Toodledo will not work for your needs. We do have plans to support Windows Mobile in the future, but if you still want a refund, you can request one via our contact page.

There is some unintended interaction (aka, a bug)between start-date and due-date in our logic that is causing this problem. We are going to fix it so that tasks with a start date that is not today or older will be properly hidden (if you have that filter turned on).

I would suggest using the due-time field for keeping track of events. So if you have a meeting at 2:00, set the due-time to 2:00. This will give you a visual reminder, and will also enable you to use our SMS/Email/Twitter reminders for this event.

Google Calendar has some API issues, but if you use a different calendar like Apple's iCal, any task that has a due-time will be treated like an event and show up on the calendar.

Hope that helps.

RSS feeds should already be sorted by due-date and then by priority for tasks with the same due-date. Are you not seeing this?

Correct, any gives you everything and none gives you non-repeating tasks. There is currently no option to return all tasks that have a non-empty repeat value. This is planned for our next update of the search page.

Thanks
