We are considering the addition of a new field that could keep track of the status of a project. We would prefer to have this be a fixed list (like priority) instead of a user-defined list (like context) because it makes it much easier/quicker to implement and because it allows us to give special treatment to particular values. For example, a status of "postponed" could cause the task to become invisible for 1 week (or something like that).

Here is a list of the status values that we came up with. We grouped some that we thought might be the same. Did we miss any?

Next Action
Actionable / Active
Planning
Delegated
Pending / Waiting
Deferred / On Hold
Someday / Maybe / Optional
Postponed

As a work-around, most web browser have an option to "print background images". If you turn this on, the stars should print.

Our forums are still very new, but we feel like they have already been a big success. We have received a lot of good ideas that we plan on implementing, and it has helped alot of people get answers to their questions.

Not to mention the Outlook Sync and Alternate Stylesheet that would not have been possible without the forums.

Incidentally, I wanted to mention that you can go directly to the first unread post in a thread. All you need to do is click the orange icon adjacent to the topic's title.

Clearly, certain forums are more popular than others, and I think that is fine. The very fact that you received 5 replies to your question in under 4 hours says something positive about the activity level.

Yes, the iPhone version of Toodledo has limited functionality due to the small screen size and limited input options. One of the things that cannot be done yet is manipulating subtasks. We are looking at ways to improve this in the future.

This is probably because you have the "show completed tasks" filter turned on. You can turn this off by clicking on the "filters" link in the yellow bar at the top of your to-do list.

Hope that helps

If you go to the "Connections" section, you can enable TSheets support which will allow you to clock in and out of your TSheets account from Toodledo.

Also, you can access your Toodledo to-do list from within your Tsheets account, when signed into their website. To do this, you need to go into the "Add-ons" section in their account setup page and turn it on.

Hope that helps

If you use folders for projects, then you are right that you cannot tag it, but you could go into the folders section and move that folder to the bottom of the list, which will cause it to appear further down and may help with prioritization.

If you use tasks with subtasks as projects, then you could update the tag or priority of the task. We have considered making tags and priority cascade down to the subtasks in some way, and we are also considering a bulk-edit tool to provide for an easy way to modify a bunch of subtasks at once.

There are two ways to add a subtask.

1. Create a task and then drag it in.
2. If a task already has at least one subtask, you can click the "add a subtask" link to quickly create a new one.

We are also considering ways to make this easier in the future.

Hi Bert,

I would suggest using tags to keep track of a project's status (hold, deferred, active, etc).

Hope that helps

Yes, this is a known problem with our booklet. It currently only supports english characters. We are trying to find a solution.

Toodledo now has support for TSheets built right into our "Connections" section. TSheets is an online timecard that allows you to do away with paper timesheets, punch clocks, and the like. If you need to keep track of your time for billing purposes, or if you have hourly employees who need to keep track of time and tasks, this is a great solution.

Yes, we plan on bringing text import inline with the other import options soon. For now, you might consider using the CSV import which accepts context as a field. CSV is exactly like text except that it uses a comma instead of a tab to separate fields.

Hope that helps

Yes, tasks that have a due-date will be put on the calendar on that date. If you also give them a due-time and a length they will show up at the appropriate place on the date that they are due. Tasks without a due-date show up in the to-do list section.

We have had a number of requests to change this, so we probably will put tasks in both the to-do list and the calendar.

The text box for editing notes is always 6 lines high, regardless of the length of your note. It is an interesting idea to allow the height to grow if the note is longer than 6 lines. I'll have to think about that.

If you use the Safari web browser, you can drag and resize any text box to the size that you want it, but I think this is the only web browser that does this.

When you tick it off, you should notice that the due-date moves ahead by 1 day. If you put a = in front of the due date as described here you can make it stop showing up on your hotlist.

Hope that helps
