Yes, this was done intentionally because if subtasks were always hidden below their parent, it would be likely that people would forget to do an important subtask because they didn't notice it. For example, if you went to the "due-date" view and clicked on the "today" tab, it is important that subtasks that are due today show up in there so that you remember to do them. If it was nested inside the parent, you may not notice that it is due.

You can read more about subtasks here: http://www.toodledo.com/info/subtasks.php

Hope that helps

Currently, there is no way to be notified about changes to a task that you assign or reassign to someone else. You will have to monitor your collaborator's list to see when the task becomes completed.

Tags are currently sorted by the ones that you use most frequently. Thanks for the suggestion about manually resorting. We'll add it to our to-do list.

I just tested it and it appears to be working as expected. The continued page it is referring to is the booklet page, not the entire list page.

Hope that helps.

Yes, we have fallen behind a little in updating the comparison table, but we'll get this updated soon.

Thanks for pointing it out.

We are happy to announce what we have been calling "multi-sort". This was one of our more frequently requested features. Prior to today, you could sort your list by any single criteria (for example, folder). This was nice, but what happens when you have a bunch of tasks that have the same folder and you want to do a secondary sort by some other criteria? Before now, Toodledo had been using Priority and Due-date as secondary and tertiary sort criteria. Now, you can pick any criteria that you want for secondary and tertiary sort criteria. So, if you want to sort your tasks by Priority and then Length and then Tag, go for it!

To access multi-sort, click the "sort" link in the yellow bar at the top of your to-do list.

Actually, the "continued from page 3" refers to the booklet's pages, so if you start your entire list on page 3, then on page 4 it will be "continued from page 3" which is page 2 of your entire list. Does that make sense?

I haven't looked at your code, but I suspect this is because something transparent in your css is on top of the toggle button, which is why you can't click on it.

We have something called subtasks which works in pretty much the same way as subfolders, we just call them by a different name. You can learn more about that here: http://www.toodledo.com/info/subtasks.php

Hope that helps

We are definitely looking into this, but to be honest, we may not have the resources to get this developed in time for the iPhone 2.0 launch.

If anyone is interested in making this faster than we can, this would be a good project for someone who wanted to learn the iPhone SDK and the Toodledo API. We could also provide assistance.

The first think you should do is go into your account settings and make sure the "Assignor" and "reassign" columns are turned on. This will allow you to reassign tasks to other people and see who assigned tasks to you. To add a task directly to another person's list, you need to switch to their list first (using the collaborators link in the yellow bar) and then add a task like normal.

You can get more info about collaboration here: http://www.toodledo.com/info/sharing.php

Hope that helps

Oh, and Andy, we had to make a few changes to our CSS file to support this, so hopefully it doesn't mess up your alternate stylesheet. Here are the css rules that we changed/added:

#toc { float: left; width:140px; position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; padding: 0px 5px 0px 7px; line-height: 1.35em;}
#tocsmall { float: left; width:20px; position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; padding: 0px 5px 0px 7px; line-height: 1.35em;}
#main { position: absolute; left: 154px; right:0px; top: 0px; padding:5px 10px 0px 9px; min-width: 200px; }
#main.front { left: 30px; }
#toco { position: absolute; cursor: pointer; left: 6px; top: 140px; }
#tocc { position: absolute; cursor: pointer; left: 141px; top: 57px; }
.sep img { margin-left: 0px; }
.sep .shove2 { margin-left: 41px; }

You've probably seen the post in the news section, but I wanted to let you know that we liked the side-bar hiding script so much that we integrated it into Toodledo, so you don't need greasemonkey anymore.

Thanks for the ideas. Keep them coming...

The blue sidebar on the left side of the website can now be hidden to give you some more room to display tasks. We need to give credit and thanks to Toodledo user "jdoree", who created a third-party script to do this and posted about it in the Forums. Thanks for the idea!

Unfortunately, there is no way to setup a task that repeats a certain number of times and then stops. We are considering this for a future update, but for now all you need to do is delete the task at the end of the two weeks. If you need to keep track of the exact date to delete the task, you can write this in the task description or notes area.

Hope that helps

Thanks for the suggestion.

Another way to do it is to go to the "All Tasks" tab and then sort by due-date. All of your tasks will then be grouped by their due-date with the overdue tasks at the top and the tasks due today lower down. Once you scroll down to tasks due tomorrow, you can just stop scrolling.
