FWIW, take a look at Advanced Search and Batch Edit.

You can create shopping lists and delete all completed items.

Also, one of the main advantages of the paid (Silver) version is that you can create subtasks, which can make it easier to track a complex list of tasks.

Do you see anything that is still marked as "Beta" on the Toodledo website?

The beta version was launched on October 10, 2016: Toodledo Tasks redesign ready for public beta testing.
The new version was launched on March 7, 2017: The New Tasks Section.
It became available as the default version on May 19, 2017: New Tasks section can be the default now.

Also, no 3rd party mobile sync client is allowed to connect to our corporate Exchange account, and for all I know this is a pretty common policy. The best approach seems to be to use the native Reminders app as the sync conduit
If you can view your Exchange tasks in the Reminders app on your iPhone, then you're using a "3rd party mobile sync client".
there's no reason why Toodledo can't do it.
...
There's no reason why Toodledo developers couldn't come up with a similar way ...
Well, then: Good luck.

That's why I posted a link to TaskTask.

Yes, it is a "3rd party app" but, until Microsoft adds Tasks to their iOS Outlook app or they dramatically improve their To-Do app, TaskTask is your best option for syncing an iOS device with Outlook/Exchange Tasks.

Also, keep in mind that syncing between Outlook Tasks and Toodledo will require several compromises. What do you do with Outlook Categories, attachments, links and formatted notes? What do you do with Toodledo subtasks, Folders, Contexts, Tags, Locations, Goals and Stars? Probably you don't use all of those fields and features but any designer of an Outlook/Toodledo sync tool has to decide what to sync and what to ignore.

Because the majority of my tasks are work related, and many if not most are email driven, and I want to be able to easily and quickly create them from within Outlook and sync to my task manager.
But Outlook has a powerful task manager. What additional benefit do you get from using Toodledo along with Outlook instead of just using Outlook?

Edited: Sorry, I don't mean to put you in a position where you have to defend yourself. Obviously you have some good reasons for doing things the way you do. Just curious about those reasons.

The majority of desktops in the corporate environment run Outlook and Exchange, yet there's very little choice for syncing TD with it.
I can appreciate wanting to integrate Toodledo with Outlook but why in a corporate environment with Exchange?

When you mention "Reminders", I'm guessing that you're referring to the iOS app that can sync with Exchange.
There's a much more powerful app available. Take a look at: TaskTask.

From New Tasks section can be the default now:
For those who like the new Tasks section, it is now possible to make this the default section that you go to in Toodledo. If you want to do this, head over to your account settings and scroll down to the "Default Views" section where you can make the change.

Here's the relevant post by Jake from almost 6 years ago::
Personally, I hate it when websites spawn new windows. I much prefer for a link to open in the current window. There is a key that you can hold down on your keyboard when clicking to cause a link to open in a new window or new tab, based on your preference. So, the way it is now, you can have it both ways.

There is no key that you can press to make a link open in the current window that was going to open in a new window, so if we implemented the suggestion it would break it for all the people who want the link to open in the current window.

I suppose we could make this a user preference if there was enough demand, but I would suggest that you try the ctrl+click method. It is different for each browser and mac/pc, so it may not be ctrl+click for you.
Obviously, there isn't enough demand, according to Jake.

Even begging doesn't help:
Please please please!!!

Make links from task notes open in a new browser tab. It's really very annoying when I'm opening a link and all of a sudden it just replaces the ToodleDo window.
From Feb 10, 2015.

Yeah, it's a bit silly.

For now, a quasi-solution is to create a dummy task and assign all the tags to it, and then hide the task from all your lists.

You can specify "2nd Monday" of each month.
You can specify every year on a specific day of a month, e.g. every January 2.
You can't specify every year on the 2nd Monday of January.

Some more details from this post by Jake:
We are unlikely to implement Gantt charts anytime soon. It is on our to-do list, but it is a little outside of our core functionality. It should be possible for a 3rd party to build this on top of our new API, so maybe some developer will jump on this opportunity.

Yes, you're right. Attachments cannot be accessed on the mobile app.

Here's a request from 2009: Viewing files on the iPhone.

Here's a more recent topic: Accessing attached files on Toodledo app.

Take a look at the Help topic: https://www.toodledo.com/info/help_email.php

Toodledo does not treat incoming email as attachments. It extracts the email text and puts it in a task's notes.

One reason is that any subscription allows you to add tasks via email but only Gold and Platinum subscriptions allow attachments.

You can copy tasks but only one at a time. (Or, one task along with all subtasks.)

You could try exporting all your tasks as a CSV file and use Excel or some other spreadsheet software to manipulate the data and then import the relevant tasks into Toodledo as a CSV file.

Batch Edit does not allow you to change just the year portion of the date. You can try several Batch Edits, each one of which has a specific date.

One more thing: Why do you want to copy completed tasks to next year? If they are annual events, then you can set up the tasks to repeat the next year, on the same day and month.

Your 2-year history is for completed tasks.
You can change the Start Date and Due Date for any uncompleted tasks.

If you want to change the date for several tasks at once, you can use Batch Edit, which is available from the down arrow (or chevron) in the Action Menu in the dark blue section of the menu bar at the top far right.

Hi John,

1. Download the Toodledo app from the App Store on your iPhone 6. You don't have to pay for it again as long as you are using the same AppleID that you used on your iPhone 4.
2. Follow the instructions here: How do I sync the iOS device with the website?.
