In the new layout, when I batch edit a parent and it's subtasks using Permanent Link, it only edits the subtasks, not the parent. Using Win 7 and Google Chrome 57.0.2987.133.

I was not able to reproduce this. Was there anything else you had to do besides click a permanent link, toggle the subtasks open and then do a batch edit? What field(s) were you editing with the batch edit?

That's what I did, except I edited the name after I cloned it, before I Permanent Linked it. I edited probably Status, Priority, Folder and Tag, or some combination of these. I tried to duplicate it myself, and, of course, it didn't do it this time, but it's done it several times since the new format came out.
