We take standard precautions to ensure that our customer's data is protected from loss and unintended viewing.

Toodledo has a strong firewall and fully patched servers that are monitored 24/7 to help prevent hackers from gaining access to your data. While we cannot guarantee that our servers are unhackable, we believe that they are as secure as most other websites that you may use.
We advise people to avoid storing sensitive information (credit card numbers, confidential company secrets, etc) inside Toodledo because we cannot provide that level of security.
If you are very concerned about other people gaining access to your data, you should make sure that you have all forms of sharing turned off. You should also remember to sign out of your account when you are leaving your computer.
EncryptionTo protect your data in-transit as it travels from our server to your web browser, you may choose to use SSL encryption.
Our iOS app always uses SSL encryption to communicate with the server.
BackupsToodledo uses a redundant storage system to protect our customer's data from software and hardware failure. We also have a nightly off-site backup to protect against a natural disaster or some other big problem.
We also offer a variety of ways for you to export your tasks and back them up on your computer.
