Toodledo takes your privacy seriously. This document explains what we collect, how we use it, and what you can do with your personal information on Toodledo.

Information Collection

This site logs the IP addresses and types of browser used by its guests. This information is used to monitor and make improvements to the site. User's may choose to become a registered user, in which case they may choose to reveal information about themselves, such as their email address and other information that they enter while using the website. This site does not secretly collect any personally identifiable information. The information that we collect will never be shared or sold beyond what is described below.

Information Use

Your email address is used as a way for you to sign into the website. It is also used to communicate important information about your account. Profile information that you choose to give us (such as a profile picture or name) is used to personalize the website and provide a nicer experience.

Through using the website, you may also choose to enter information such as tasks you want to do, notes you want to remember, habits you want to make, etc. Toodledo uses this information for the sole purpose of displaying it back to you when you request it. Toodledo does not read or analyze the contents of what you have entered in this way.

If you choose to become a subscriber, we will need to collect some billing information from you. We send this information to our payment processor (Stripe or PayPal depending on your choice at checkout) so that we can bill you and provide you with the enhanced features that come with a subscription. Toodledo does not store billing information on our servers after passing it off to our payment processor.

Your Rights to Your Data

Users may sign into their account to access all of the personal information that they have entered into this website.

Users may update their personal information at any time by using the website to do so.

Right to be Forgotten

Users may remove themselves and their information from the website's database at anytime by deleting their account through the settings section of our website. If you need assistance you can contact us.

This website will automatically delete any personal information that we no longer need. For example, if you stop using this website for a period of 1 year or longer, we will delete your account and all of the information contained within it.

Children

This website conforms to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. We do not allow children under the age of 13 to use our website. If you are a parent and are aware that your child is using our website, please contact us immediately.

Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of data stored on the user's hard drive. This site uses cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain state between pages. The user may remove these cookies at any time by logging out of the web site.

A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.

You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies. Declining cookies will prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.

We also use cookies related to our affiliate scheme which are used to track how you first arrived on this website and, if appropriate, to award our affiliates.

Log Files

We use IP addresses and browser type to analyze trends and administer the site. We do not do reverse DNS lookups, so IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. IP addresses stored in log files are automatically deleted after 90 days.

Analytics

Toodledo uses Google Analytics to monitor the website and make improvements. Google collections information such as your IP number and browser. Google also infers information such as gender and age and aggregates this information in a way that enables us to improve our service. You may opt-out of Google's tracking here and here. Toodledo does not facilitate the merging of personally identifiable information with non-personally identifiable information collected by Google.

If you agree to become a beta tester, we may use additional 3rd party analytics software to collection additional information that we may need to improve our service.

Sharing

Toodledo does not rent or sell your information, but we do disclose your information to a limited set of third parties in the situations explained below, for which you, by using our services, hereby explicitly consent.

  • We will disclose your personal information where we are bound to do so, at law or via a court order as well as to meet any legal or regulatory requirement or obligations. We will use all reasonable efforts to ensure that those requirements or obligations are in accordance with Applicable Law.
  • We reserve the right to disclose your information to any third party if we have reasonable information to believe that the disclosure is necessary for the purpose of an investigation and/or for the enforcement of any breaches of the Terms of Service (if applicable), to detect, prevent or otherwise address fraud, security, technical issues or other irregularities or illegalities, protect the rights and interests as well as the property of Toodledo.
  • There are many third-party applications that can sync with Toodledo. If you choose to link your account with a third-party application, all of your information can be downloaded, read, modified and deleted by this third-party application as if it was you. Toodledo is not responsible for the privacy policies or actions of any third-party application to which you have given access to your account. When giving a third-party application access to your data, you should carefully read through the privacy policy of that third party application.

Toodledo also works with third party providers which provide important functions to us that allow us to provide you a better service. We need to disclose user data to them from time to time so that the services can be performed. We only share information with the third party that is required for the service they are offering and contractually bind these providers to keep any information we share with them as confidential and to be used only for particular purposes. For example, amongst others, we have providers that process our credit card transactions (Stripe, Paypal), market our products (Google, Facebook), and manage our marketing communications (CampaignMonitor). By using Toodledo, you explicitly consent to, and authorize us to sub-contract in this manner.

This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this Web site.

Surveys and Contests

From time-to-time our site requests information from users via surveys. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site.

This website uses encryption when sending or receiving information so that it is protect in transit. This website uses encryption to store some (but not all) of your data while it is at rest in our database.

While we use best practices to protect your data, we cannot guarantee that your data is completely secure. This website is run by a company based in the USA and all of the data stored by this website is stored in the USA.

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page, and notify our users, so that our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We will always use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.

Change of Ownership

If Toodledo goes through a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your personally identifiable information and any information that you have provided to the site will likely be among the assets transferred. We will post these changes and notify our users of any such change of ownership or control of your personally identifiable information. The collection and use of your information will continue to be governed by this privacy policy until the date specified in the notification.
