Help / FAQ
Sometimes an iOS app (iPhone, iPad or iPod touch) can develop strange problems that cause it to crash immediately upon launching, or start to run very slowly. This happens with all apps, and is not specific to Toodledo. In most cases, rebooting your device will solve the problem.
Force Quit the app (multi-tasking devices only)
- Press the home button to return to the home screen.
- Double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking dock.
- Tap and hold on the Toodledo icon until it starts to jiggle.
- Tap the red - symbol in the upper left corner of the Toodledo icon to force quit the app.
Rebooting the device
- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of the device until the red slider appears.
- Slide the slider to turn your device off
- Wait a few seconds
- Press the Sleep/Wake button to turn your device back on.
If this doesn't work, you may need to reset your device. This won't erase any data from the phone. It is just a more powerful reboot.
Resetting the device- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time.
- The red slider will appear. Ignore it. Keep holding the Sleep/Wake button and the Home Button.
- When the Apple logo appears you can let go and allow the device to start up.
If for some reason, that doesn't solve the problem, you can try deleting our app from your device and re-installing it.
Reinstalling our iOS app- Be sure to backup your data by syncing to Toodledo.com, if possible.
- Press and hold on the Toodledo icon on the home screen until it starts to jiggle.
- Press the X button, and confirm the deletion.
- Plug your device into your computer and go into the "Applications" tab of the device as it appears in iTunes. Make sure you are syncing all applications, or that there is a checkmark next to "Toodledo".
- Sync your device with iTunes. This will reinstall the application. When you sync with Toodledo.com it will bring back in all the data.
If you have to re-download the application from the iTunes app store, you will not be charge again, as long as you use the same iTunes account that you used to purchase the app.
