Tasks are placed on the calendar using a combination of due date, due time, start date, start time and length. If some of this information is missing, then Toodledo will try to calculate it based on some assumptions.
- If a task has only one date (start or due), then it will be assumed to start and end on the same day.
- If a task is missing one time (start or due), the missing time will be calculated by using the length value to offset the known time. If the length is long enough for this to cause the task to extend into a different day, the task will be constrained to be a single day event. For example, a task with a start time of 4:00 and a length of 30 minutes, will be given a due time of 4:30.
- If a task is missing one time (start or due) and doesn't have a length, then the task will be a zero length event that starts and ends at the same time.
- If a task is missing both times (start and due) then it will be a timeless event on the specified date. Different calendars treat this situation differently. Some calendars hide these tasks, and some make them all day events.
