Help > How to Import Tasks from Palm on the Mac
Many people use PDAs with the Palm OS. This page will explain how to transfer your to-do list from your Palm into Toodledo.
Synchronize your PDA with the Palm Desktop Software
If you have not done so already, you will need to download and install the Palm Desktop software from Palm and follow the instructions to synchronize your PDA with your computer.
Export a file from Palm Desktop
Windows PC
Note: The newest version of the Windows Palm Desktop software has changed the format of the exported file in a way that makes it impossible for Toodledo to import. If you are still running (or have access) to an older version of Palm Desktop, you can follow these instructions.
- Click the "To Do" icon inside Palm Desktop.
- Select "Export" from the file menu.
- From the Export Type drop down menu, select "To Do Archive (*.tda)".
- From the Range field, select the "All" radio button.
- Save the file to your computer.
Mac OS X
- Select "Export" from the file menu.
- From the Module drop down menu, select "To Dos".
- From the Format drop down menu, select "Tab & Return".
- Save the file to your computer.
Import into Toodledo
- Sign in to your 'Toodledo' account.
- Click on 'Tools' in the left column.
- In the 'Palm PDA Import' section, click 'Browse...'
- Locate the file on your computer that we created in steps above.
- Click 'Upload' and confirm that everything looks correct.
- Click 'Save Changes'.
