Task not done flag

Hi
I wonder if there is any way (and if not whether it might be an idea for a new feature) to flag a task as "not done" or "not completed"?
I have a few daily tasks which are more-or-less a way of trying to discipline myself to keep them up. Some days I don't manage to do them, so I want to clear the task from the list but flag it as "not done" - so that I can look back if I choose and see how well I did. At the moment I just tick it off to make it go away...
Does that make any kind of sense? Any suggestions?

Try using the status field and set it to "canceled". You can then use the status filter to hide them, or also check them off. You could also use the tag field and add a tag called "not done"
