App not syncing with website

I have been trying all morning to sync my toodledo app on my ipod touch to the website and it won't do it. I have the app to sync on startup or when changes are made. It won't automatically sync and if I try to manually sync, it just says "wait" and it never completes the task.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
