Alarms not working

I just paid for the pro version and since doing so I don't get any email alerts anymore even though the alarm is set to go off 15 minutes before the actual time.
I have checked all my settings and they are correct. I then went and set up a fre version of Toodledo to test and that works sending to my email. What could be the issue with the paid version?
