Good evening. I am new to this app and am having some problems. I exported my Outlook tasks to a .csv file and then imported it into Toodledo. I have a few problems with this.
1) I have duplicate tasks in Toodledo that are not in Outlook.
2) Those that show as complete in Outlook are not showing complete in Toodledo.
3) I can't figure out how to delete all the tasks I have currently in Toodledo to try to export again from Outlook and retry this.

I'm sure this is a simple fix, but I can't seem to figure it out. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi,

I am not sure why you have duplicated tasks in Toodledo or why the completed tasks in Outlook are still open in Toodledo but suspect it has something to do with your exported data and/or field mapping. Perhaps open the csv file in Excel so you can see what's there before you import and then make sure you are careful with your selections in step #6 here: http://www.toodledo.com/info/help_outlook.php

As for deleting all tasks in Toodledo so that you can start over, go into your account settings http://www.toodledo.com/account_edit.php and scroll to the very bottom of the page. Here you will find a link that will allow you to delete all tasks.

Or even easier, here is the direct link (it will ask for confirmation first): http://www.toodledo.com/delete_tasks.php

Thank you, the deletion of all tasks worked great!!! I think the issue with the duplicate tasks and completed tasks still showing up has to do with them being recurring tasks. It seems like it's just the recurring tasks that are having a problem. Is there something I should be doing differently with recurring tasks when I export them?

It's possible that Outlook creates all instances of a repeating tasks out into the future, similar to the way it handles calendar entries. If that's the case, maybe you can try specifying an end date for the repeating tasks (e.g. today) so that there are no future instances (duplicates) before exporting them. This should give you just one copy of each of these tasks.

Toodledo works differently - recurring tasks are spawned only after the task is completed or if has a date modifier, according to the cycle specified.
