How to delete "Date Added" field from display?

Under Settings --> Fields/Functions Used, I don't see a check box for the Date Added field that shows up in my display. How can I ask it not to display this? Also, does it retain that data, in case I want to know later and turn it back on? Thanks so much for any help, Chris

Change your sort to something else (e.g. due date) and this field will disappear. If you want to see date added for any task, simply hover you mouse pointer over the completed checkbox field. A small popup will display the date the task was added.

Your view must be sorted by 'date added'. Change your sort to something else (e.g. due date) and this field will disappear.

If you want to see date added for any task, simply hover you mouse pointer over the completed checkbox field. A small popup will display the date the task was added.
