Hi there
the following was posed about 3 years ago:
"I frequently print tasks to discuss with others. I wish I could reference each task by a number. "Let's look at task 16." I want one sequence of numbers from top to bottom. Somebody else might want to restart the numbers based on the sort/group.

I'd like to be able to have my whole list numbered, as is pointed out above it would make discussing/assigning the tasks (especially in meetings) so much easier.

Thanks for the suggestion. This is still on our to-do list. You could accomplish this by exporting to Excel via our CSV export tool and then use Excel's line numbering.
