Hi
If I delete a task that has an attachment - a task created from an email - will that attachment be deleted |

No, the attachment will still be in your files section (under the Organize menu). You can delete it permanently there.

Is there anyway to get a list of files that are not linked to tasks. I want to use Toodledo to email tasks from Outlook with attachments going to the files section. It is very hard to clean up the folder after the task is complete or deleted - I want to be able to complete a task or delete it and maybe have a routine that cleans up orphan attachments later.

Yes, the file organization page will show the number of tasks linked to each file.
