I am wondering this so I can turn a current task into a subtask of another project without using drag and drop. I am also wondering this to see if I can do syncing with gsyncit to designate an outlook task as a subtask. Thanks,

From a data perspective, a subtask is a subtask if it has a parent. If it does not have a parent, then it is a regular task, or it is itself a parent.
Drag and drop is the only way to do subtasks on this website, but you can do it through 3rd party apps. You will need to contact the company that makes the app you are using for assistance with their app.
