Can not create new task on iPad/iOS7

I have a new iPad running iOS7. Creating a new task the task shows up on the right hand side (task details) but never in the Task List, even when All tasks and no filters are enabled.

What do I need to do to have tasks show up in the task list in iPad/iOS7?
