Why does my "HOTLIST" show items that I have given an "optional" due date?

Thats a good question. The hotlist doesn't currently care if a task is optional or not. It just looks at the date. That would be a good addition to make. I'll add it to our todo list.

sounds interesting. but please make this an OPTION so that I can still see my optionally due tasks on my hotlist... thanks!

I agree with Daniel - I think of those items as optional, but if I do them, they need to be done by the date in question. For me they need to go into the hotlist.

I thought it should be hidden by default? As per the notes on Due Date Modifiers:
Tasks that use a due-date modifier will not show up on your hotlist until they are due (unless they have a high enough priority). As Optionally On is one of the due date modifiers. |
