Toodledo interferes with Android lock screen

When I go to unlock my Android based device, and the Toodledo app was the last foreground app, I observe something strange. Instead of displaying the unlock screen, the device displays the Toodledo app. The app is unresponsive to most commands.
Then, if I select "settings", the device then displays not settings but the Android unlock screen and I can unlock it. After that the device works normally.
