I've got a big laptop, but your menu doesn't fit:

It should look like your suggestion and does on most browsers. I just tested this and discovered that in Firefox, if you increase the font size of the entire page, then the menu will grow incorrectly like you have shown us. I'll look into a fix. In the meantime, if you can decrease the font size of the page using the built in menu option, this should fix it.
