Hi there,

in the "All Tasks" list, my tasks always show as follows:

-----------------------------
Call Mr. Robinson at home
19:00 30-06-2009 (wed)
-----------------------------

I would like to have it shown this way:

-----------------------------
Call Mr. Robinson at home
30-06-2009 (wed) 19:00
-----------------------------

(so first date, then time)

In the Settings->fields&defaults ... I have the due date set above the due time, yet the time shows up first in the task view.

is this a feature, a bug ... and is there a workaround???

thx for taking the time to look into the matter

v.1.4.1, windows

thx
alfred

It displays according to my Fields&Defaults order, but I have a newer version of the app. If you have OS 3.0, you should update to Toodledo version 1.5.

I just upgraded to 1.5 (os3.0) and still the problem persists:

in the "Fields & Defaults" page it shows:

Fields Used ....
-------------------------
star >
-------------------------
due date >
-------------------------
due time >
-------------------------

over at the "All Tasks" screen (sorted by Due Date & Time), I still get:

-----------------------------
Call Mr. Robinson at home
19:00 30-06-2009 (wed)
-----------------------------

(which is very unlogical to me, as I would like to see the d.date before the d.hour

any further thoughts?

thx
al

ps: fwiw: the tasks are in correct order (based on d.date) ... also, I use european style of date/time and spanish language

Ah, I see the problem. It is because you are sorting by Due Date first. The top fields in Fields & Defaults are shown in the first 2 positions from the left below the task's name. However, whatever your primary sort criterion is will be shown in the third position, and sort criterion trumps the field order. So whenever you sort by Due Date, that field will be on the right. If you change your sort, it will display as you want it to. Unfortunately there is no way to have them in that order if you are sorting by Due Date (or a combined sort begining with Due Date).

thx anders for your explanation ...

Is it just me, or is there any broader consensus that this situation could be improved upon? ...

My guess is, a great deal of folks will have their tasks sorted by due-date - and run into similar problems ...

again, thx for looking into this matter ...

This is actually the first I have heard about it being an issue. I usually sort Priority before Due Date, so I don't run into it, but I see where you're coming from.
