I am using the Habits feature more and more as an easy way to track stuff, especially numeric data. (thanks for this feature). But I don't see anyway to get the data out of Todledoo. Is there anyway to do so? If not, this would be a great addition. Without a simple export option, I am reluctant to put too much data into it.

The backup tool will make an XML document that has your habits data that you can export.

The XML document lists all the habits, and there are entries for "record" (with date, value and status) but no habit ID number for each completion.

Thats because the "record" node is inside the habit node, so the ID is inferred from its parent. Thats the way XML works.

What can I do with the XML? I'm not familiar with this. How do I get it into an actual readable format?

There is not currently a way to export the Habits data in a readable format. The website is the only place where you can vide the data in that way, right now. Sorry.
