Processing InBox - Better Way to Assign New Task to Parent?

I'm finding it difficult to add sub-tasks to tasks when processing my newly added tasks. I do know about adding subtasks when the parent task is in view. And I do know about dragging a sub-task onto a task when it is in view.

The problem is when I have my InBox folder visible and I am trying to make a new task a sub-task of an existing task (not in the InBox folder.) Right now I have to try to make one variable the same as the parent and then switch to that view and then "find" my new task and then "find" the parent and then drag and drop it. With a long list of tasks to go through this is a bit of a pain. Am I missing some process that would make this easier?

I don't think there is an easier way currently. I assign the task the appropriate Folder, and star it temporarily. Then I go to the Folder, and drag the starred task under it's parent and unstar it.
