Is it possible to set up toodledo so it warns you before deleting?

Currently, deleting a task is a 2 step process and there isnt currently a way to add more steps. Sorry.

Mine is a one step process. I check the box and it is gone. What do you mean two step process?

If you are checking a box, then you are probably just completing tasks. To delete, you have to click the Click for actions arrow and then Delete.

Checking the checkbox just marks it as completed. It sounds like you currently have your filters set to hide completed tasks, but you can turn this off to see your recently completed tasks. Deleting a task is done differently as Olivir2018 has described.
