How to connect website with a pre-existing iPhone Toodledo versi

I have been using Toodledo on the iPhone for a while now and I just created an account on the website because I'd like to be able to manage tasks there sometimes too (although I expect to use it mostly on the phone).
I can't get the website to "see" my iPhone to import the many tasks I already have set up. When I go to "Add a task" and then "import tasks" and then look at the iPhone options, it just takes me to a screen asking me to buy the app.
I even followed that path and clicked "buy app" again in iTunes, and iTunes recognized that I already have the app and just upgraded it to the latest version. But the website still does not see my app. Help! I can't import any of my existing tasks. :-(

To sync the iPhone with the website, you need to go into our iPhone app and go into the "Synchronization settings" and put in your account email/password. Now it will sync everything.
