Keeping "actions" linked with parent "project"

I've started using Toodledo for the GTD methodology, and it is a learning process, but I'm glad to have a resource such as this site.

I've set up my system so that I have a variety of folders (Actions, Projects, Waiting for, etc), and I was wondering if there is a way of quickly moving sub-tasks under a specific project to your "Action" folder, while keeping them somehow linked with the original Project.

Right now I simply plan out a variety of steps under a main project, and write them in the "notes" section of the project, then when it is time to DO each task, I copy and paste it in my "Actions" folder, but this doesn't feel very time efficient to me...

Any ideas?

You might try using "status" or "tags" for this instead of folders. I think that might work better for you.
