Saw this in another locked thread:

"Other than setting your Due Date to be a couple of days earlier, or setting up a separate task to serve as a reminder only, you don't have any other options currently as a basic user. If you get a Toodledo Pro subscription, you can set reminders for anywhere from 15 minutes, to several days in advance of a task's Due Time. "

Paying $5.00+ for the iPhone app itself doesnt qualify users for multiple alert notifications? Wow. You require a subscription payment - for a simple task list application? That very concept is weird to me. Seems like overkill. Its just a task list app. This is also why you require users to log in and set up accounts and manually sync their list with your remote computer.... just so they can get an alert? Way too much involvement and way too much focus on trying to get $$$ from people for an application that is nothing more than a task list.

Please consider dropping the remote sync, add the elementary school level programming necessary to do localized alerts using the iPhone clock and date. Your company should have no involvement in the task list process at all. Let alone try to collect personal information and then charge people money if they want more than one notification. The concept just seems ludicrous to me. Sorry.

1) People with our $4 iPhone app have full access to all the reminder times (1 minute up to 30 days). No additional purchase necessary.

2) Until very recently, Apple did not allow local alerts, so it had to go through our server. With iOS 4, it is now possible to have local alerts, and we plan to support this in a future update.
