Does this mean my iPad app is the only place they're stored? and if so can I do a one-way sync back up to the cloud so I can repopulate my iphone?

bugger. just did a sync from iPad and now there's nothing there either... :-(

Guess I'll have to hope that syncing for Office 2010 arrives soon so I can start again from my Outlook Task list...

If tasks got deleted by accident, you can check the "recently deleted tasks" list at the bottom of your account settings to see the reason why there were deleted. It was probably a third-party application that you have syncing with your account, perhaps Outlook.

The Outlook Sync tool was made by a third-party developer. Please contact them for support with their product. They can be reached at : http://www.chromadrake.com/ChromaticDragon/software/ToodledoSyncInfo.aspx
