Can't sync the iphone app with Toodledo

My iphone app can only upload tasks to toodledo it is not possible to sync or download tasks posted on toodledo.com.
I read that i had to go to synchronization settings to force a sync but these options are not available on the iphone app.

The options to force a sync in the app are in Settings->Synchronization->Modify Account Login then scroll down a bit and there's two links at the bottom to force a sync in either direction.
