I think that answers how to get to a task via email. But isn't the OP asking how to go to Toodledo and send a list of tasks via email>

Clearing the browser cache did it!

Thanks. Starting in safe mode (no add-ons) didn't make a difference. Still no icons.

I understand. I thought perhaps AVG, as this has a plugin that was just updated. I completely removed, no change.

Without actually testing this thought ... :)

Google tasks. They are checklists, you can have multiple ones. Checked items still appear and checks can be cleared. Web based. My Android app that I use to sync Toodledo also syncs Google tasks.

So not the same app on the PC, but the same place on my phone for this and Toodledo.

They are both running 7.0.1, but the one that works has a 9/30/11 security update and the one that doesn't work has a 9/29 update, but nothing for 9/30. All other browser settings are the same.

An inactive plugin could do this, too? Definitely different plugins as one is home and one is work.

Thanks for the reply. What is odd is I don't recall doing anything. It worked in the morning and not in the evening.

I'll compare the browser settings to the ones at work (same version and Toodledo works).

I am getting the plugin warning on my browser at home. And it is making all of the icons (the ones to complete, add sub-tasks, delete, etc) invisible and not work. I did not actively install anything and it just started yesterday. I was assuming a plugin updated automatically.

Firefox 7.01. I have the same version at work and do not have the same problem. I went and disabled ALL plugins and extensions and still have the problem.

I don't know what step to take next.

True. Task1 of "call", Task2 of "call" and Task3 of the real task, maybe even a task with two subtasks of the intermediate calls. For my own example, that may turn into more work than what I want to track, but that fine line can vary for different people and tasks.

I am too busy!

Seriously, it's more that I don't like the options :) I am doing option #2 currently.

My thought was to really use the due date...so this would be a lower priority to me since it is due in December than a task due in October. Due date being just one of the fields that helps me decide what to work on now. I know of a couple of apps that let you set multiple reminders for any task (gmail calendar is another example). That is also driving the idea of having a reminder with no due date. I have things that I pick totally arbitrary dates and would rather avoid that.

Thanks for the options.

I have some tasks that have due dates. But I may want a reminder before that, a reminder that doesn't really relate to the due date. Or I may want multiple reminders.

For example, I have ordered a part for a vehicle. I need the part received and installed by 12/1/2011 for a ride. So the due date is 12/1/2011. But I don't want the reminder tied to that date with the xx minutes or days before settings. On 10/31 I want to be reminded to call and check on the order with the dealer.

What I have been doing is setting the due date to 10/31 and then I have my reminder. But I have lost the fact that the real due date is 12/1 (unless I put it in notes).

I also don't have a way to set up multiple reminders. I have to wait for the first one and then set things up again for the second. I'd like to be able to set a reminder for 10/31 and 11/15 from the beginning, while keeping the due date of 12/1.

What do you do to handle this?

And a similar issue, how can I have a reminder without a due date?

I use Got To Do for android and want to use its reminders. But if I turn off any twitter/email/sms reminders here, I lose the Remind me checkbox on tasks.

Is there some way to keep it without having to get multiple reminders? or can this be an option?

I have several defaults setup for new tasks, including a priority of 3. They work perfectly for the first task I creates, but the priority field always defaults to -1 for any subsequent tasks.

This happens using the keyboard shortcut or the Add button.

Bug?

Ah, I did not have trash can enabled. But like you tip about the cursor even better. Thanks!

Is there a way to quickly delete a task? Frequently I have small tasks that I just want to delete, rather than mark complete.

Now I am marking complete, then changing the view to see completed tasks and then using the "trash can".
