And, of course, in classic style, I immediately found the function. From my main to-do panel, I saw the link to "turn on" columns that weren't there, and then the start date appeared.

I feel a little silly, but I can't find the start date field when I open up a to-do item or create a new one. I can only see the due date.
I've looked in the settings, and can't easily find an appropriate one, either. Thanks! I'm looking at the GTD system, and that's one of the things I'd like to start incorporating in my lists. deb |
