search for multiple words in a task

I'm having trouble understanding the "Search" feature. i.e. I have a task called "contract for John". If I search for "John" I get the task or if I search for "contract" I get the task. But if I search for "John" and "contract" I get nothing. But since I have a ton of tasks with "John", I need to filter down to the task that has "contract" in it. Thanks, newbie(paying :) memeber).

You need to setup an advanced search with two criteria.
Task contains "John"
AND
Task contains "contract".
If you do a search for "John contract" it looks for that exact phrase.
