Mac Notifications

I'm looking at switching over from Todoist. On iOS there appears to be ways to get all of the notifications and there is a Today screen widget. However I haven't found anything comparable on the Mac. Are there workarounds or plans to develop this capability? A search showed people requesting this capability over 2 years ago.

Toodledo does not yet integrate with the Mac Notification center, but this is on our todo list. Right now, its just the iOS Notification center.
