Advice sought: Creating actions for repetitive tasks?

For example, you've got a spreadsheet with 150 items on it, and you have to provide certain additional data on each of them.

Sure, it's a project. How best to organize the tasks to give the best feedback on progress? I've done one pass that just did recurring tasks by time, but that didn't really work.

My next thought is creating tasks like:
* process rows 1-10
* process rows 11-20
and so on.

What are other folks doing to stuff like this?

@sakinney

I would simply create a note under the task of my progress. I still see this as one task although it may be a task that takes a long time and a lot of work to get done.

The important thing is that you do what works for you and get's the job done. Your method sounds just fine to me as well.
