From Topic: iPhone version: next/previous buttons
Could we add a next and a previous buttons to task details on the iPhone app? So it's easy to scroll through and edit tasks. |

From Topic: Creating a new folder on the fly
Is it possible to add a 'Create New Folder...' entry in the folders drop-down menu when creating a new task? Otherwise it's a bit tedious to abandon the current task and go to Folders screen and create a folder there. Same applies to Contexts. |

From Topic: Offline Access - Google Gears
I'd imagine this would be a killer feature in the near future. With netbooks flooding the market and limited network coverage in most places. Looking forward to seeing offline access soon! |

From Topic: Toodledo on the iPhone
New feature request: Filing Mode The majority of time when I use a todo list (apart from actually doing the tasks) is filing new tasks into folders/contexts. To be able to do this on the iPhone would be a great use of time, because this process doesn't require much thinking, so can be done anywhere. I think Toodledo can borrow the 'filing mode' concept in 'Things' app. In 'filing mode', when you click on a task, a folder list pops up and you can click on the folder name to file it. Then you click on the next task... etc. until all the tasks in the inbox have been filed (or your train/bus have arrived). 1.3 is a great improvement! well done guys! From Topic: Toodledo on the iPhone
The start-up is very quick initially, but becomes VERY slow once synchronized with the server. Perhaps too much data to load? Maybe you can load limited number of tasks (e.g. hotlist, starred tasks, without notes) on start-up? |

From Topic: More 'obvious' Running Timer
This list is getting long :p * Some tasks don't have length property. It's quite useful to know how many tasks are not taken into account when displaying the 'Total Estimate Length' figure. So you know roughly how accurate the figure is. e.g. Total Estimated Lengths (50 tasks): 128.8 hours (+ 30 No-length tasks) Just a nice-to-have. /yt/ |

From Topic: iPhone Kudos to Toodledo
Todo app does not support toodledo's full features. Notably it is missing contexts in the current version and it is difficult to see the notes field. The iPhone web app version also has limited functions. I found the full version of the website much simpler to use on the iPhone. Currently I display all tasks ordered by contexts. Double click to zoom in to that context and see the task list there. Works great so far! |

From Topic: More 'obvious' Running Timer
Add to bug/feature list :) * Timer should stop when the task is checked as 'complete' * Option: allow multiple running timers. Or auto-off previous timer when new one starts. |

From Topic: [request] Email Import Syntax
A small request that should be easy to do: Some corporate emails attach a long disclaimer to the body of every outgoing email message. It would be good to have some kind of indicator of end of message, so that the long disclaimer does not get included in the task notes. e.g. Do Something @context #today *folder Some notes Some notes Some notes end. This message is confidential blah blah blah blah corporate disclaimer... Something simple like "end." "<eom>" will do nicely. |

From Topic: Integrating Gmail + Calendar with bookmarks
Without downloading any add-on or too much tweaking, I managed to integrate Toodledo, Gmail, Gcal into a rather simple workflow. The only tool used is Firefox's bookmark sidebar. I never got used to Toodledo's navigation interface (sidebar/top bar/second level top bar... etc) so just bookmarked a few links that I use most often -- and make Toodledo's sidebar always hidden. This way I get to re-order each link the way I want to, and a particular list can be accessed with just one click. Plus it's easy to integrate different web apps into one clean & simple list. e.g. Gmail/Calendar/Next Action are the only ones needed when you want to DO stuff. The ones below them are used when you need to PLAN stuff. To add a new task, Toodledo's firefox extension is still useful. Or to be add-on free, add a mailto: link to your Toodledo import address to the sidebar. This arrangement has worked pretty well so far. Any comments and suggestions welcome. http://img392.imageshack.us/img392 /4095/firefoxtodocz8.png

From Topic: More 'obvious' Running Timer
Timer is an excellent feature -- it encourages me to focus on one thing at a time and over time it helps me estimate my efforts better. (So I realise that those 15-min tasks actually always take 2 hours to complete!) Is there a way to make the running timer stand out more? e.g. - move to the top of every screen (or just show a copy there) - big font, coloured background - pop-up timer box and task details, either embedded in page or as separate window. Since if the timer is running, you'd be concentrating on DOING the task instead of ORGANIZING other tasks. So making it big and obvious help you focus on the task and resist the temptation to temper with other tasks. Also, as someone suggested previously, a timer on slim version would be extremely useful too. This message was edited Aug 02, 2008. |

From Topic: Bug: Sort by Date Added
Small bug when sorting by "date added": the list is correctly sorted by date. But it doesn't sort by "time", i.e. multiple tasks added on the same day are not sorted in the correct order. |

From Topic: Importance Level
OK this thing has been bugging me too but just worked out how to turn it off -- you need to click on Sort then pick something other than Importance. The sort option will stay that way. It's an innovative idea maybe I'll come back to it some day. This message was edited Jul 28, 2008. |
