From Topic: Toodledo for iOS downgraded
The new UI was such a huge improvement over the old one! I will sit at 3.0 forever rather go back to the old UI. |

I know it's July, but I would be happy to beta test. I am a licensed user. |

I have been using Chromatic Dragon for Outlook syncing and it works very well. The only issue I have is that it can't sync the Status field, which is a field I use quite a lot. It's very GTD friendly and is not supported by Chromatic Dragon. I know I could probably use tags to do the same thing, but then the apps I have on my phone (Due Today Lite) and on my Mac (TaskSurfer) would need to all get reworked. I was wondering if there was a way to get status to sync over into Outlook using another app. |

Has anyone found a way to create a Searcher that shows tasks due today, without needing to update the searcher every day. |

Also just noticed that the top menus are now File then View and and Edit. Shouldn't they be File then Edit then View? |

I can't get the Toodledo plugin to download. I have my proxy information configured, and it shows me the plug availability on the list, but when I try and download it, I get the following: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.socketConnect(Native Method) at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.doConnect(Unknown Source) at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.connectToAddress(Unknown Source) at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.connect(Unknown Source) at java.net.SocksSocketImpl.connect(Unknown Source) at java.net.Socket.connect(Unknown Source) at java.net.Socket.connect(Unknown Source) at sun.net.NetworkClient.doConnect(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.openServer(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.openServer(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.New(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.New(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.getNewHttpClient(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.plainConnect(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.connect(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.getInputStream(Unknown Source) at java.net.URL.openStream(Unknown Source) at org.apache.commons.io.FileUtils.copyURLToFile(FileUtils.java:1126) at com.leclercb.taskunifier.gui.components.plugins.PluginsUtils.installPlugin(PluginsUtils.java:172) at com.leclercb.taskunifier.gui.components.plugins.PluginsPanel$1$1.doActions(PluginsPanel.java:106) at com.leclercb.taskunifier.gui.components.plugins.PluginsPanel$1$1.doActions(PluginsPanel.java:1) at com.leclercb.taskunifier.gui.components.plugins.PluginWaitDialog$PluginRunnable$1.doInBackground(Plu ginWaitDialog.java:88) at com.leclercb.taskunifier.gui.components.plugins.PluginWaitDialog$PluginRunnable$1.doInBackground(Plu ginWaitDialog.java:1) at javax.swing.SwingWorker$1.call(Unknown Source) at java.util.concurrent.FutureTask$Sync.innerRun(Unknown Source) at java.util.concurrent.FutureTask.run(Unknown Source) at javax.swing.SwingWorker.run(Unknown Source) at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$Worker.runTask(Unknown Source) at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$Worker.run(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) |

From Topic: Task Angel vs TaskUnifier
I purchased Task Angel a while ago. Now I see a Java app (cross platform! yay!) has come along called TaskUnifier. Has anyone used both? What are the pros/cons of each app? |

I just installed Chromatic Dragon and was THRILLED to learn that I can now create custom fields in Outlook and sync over folders, contexts, and tags. The problem I have now is, if I create new contexts or folders in Outlook, by adding the name in the appropriate custom fields I created in Outlook, these names do not sync over to Toodledo. On the Toodledo side, the folder and context are blank. If I create the contexts and folders first in Toodledo, then things sync up fine. I am wondering if this is an API limitation or a limitation in how Chromatic Dragon does things. |

Posted by Transisto: Posted by Salgud: That's the problem. You can't have all those features and have the "ease" of TD. ... I don't want TD to try to become mini-project scheduling software. However you look at it there is no line between a task manager and project manager. AFAIK, Toodledo is being promoted as implementing GTD, and projects are a core part of GTD philosophy. I'm tired of those post fearing changes. @Toddledo, Thanks for the status update. GTD projects and the type of projects that involve Gannt Charts and the use of "Project Management" software are two entirely different things. I believe David Allen actually recommends against the use of tradition project management software for your GTD trusted source. |

From Topic: Appigo has announced Todo v4
IOS4 multitasking isn't really multitasking. Apps like Todo and the Toodledo app will NOT run in the background according to Apple's rules for background apps. The best these apps can do is finish syncing and then suspend themselves. Any belief that your task list will happily sit in the background and sync your tasks with the web is sadly mistaken... |

From Topic: Implement an inbox folder
Any chance the fine folks at Toodledo might implement an Inbox folder? I use different solutions to sync with Toodledo, and they use two different methods to deal with an inbox. One method is to place items not in any folder into the inbox. Other software actually creates a folder called Inbox and puts tasks you place in the inbox in that folders. When I use software that does the items not in a folder as in the inbox, I see two inboxes on my folder list. |

I just bought the app. With this, the web site, and Got To Do for Android, I can get my tasks almost everywhere. I wish there was a client for Mac that would sync. |

Just tried this app out. It's nice to have a real desktop app for Toodledo. The web interface is nice, but this makes things a lot easier for me. I'll give it a try for 30 days and see how I do. If you guys had a Mac app, I'd be all set. |
