Posted by tbaker:[/quote] You're very close to what I want to see. The .wav may be ok but I prefer the ability to cut and paste into other applications. If I could set Dragon up with a default email then I'd be golden. As of now it takes longer to pick the address and send the email than it does to record the thought. |

What if my gmail is set to go secure (https)? Does that even help. I know we're talking about two things here; email vulnerability, and the process of Dragon running the voice memo through their own server. |

just look in your profile settings and find or establish the option. it will generate the address for you and then you just add it to your contacts, voila. you can even add contexts, status, etc i believe but i'm not the one to explain that. i simply mail them to my "inbox" and then sort it out from there on my pc/laptop. |

When I'm putting things in like, "email note to Emily" security isn't a big concern. I could see an issue though if there was sensitive info involved. I was not aware that the speech went to a server and then back. Nuance is a publicly traded co though NUAN so it should be fairly easy to research them. |

From Topic: Does ToodleDo rock the funky mic?
English. Do you speak it? LOL Yes, toodledo is great. With it I've finally built a GTD system that works and THAT I USE! Thanks. |

Great FREE app for iPhone users. Proximo has mentioned this in another thread but I feel it deserves it's own. Plus I think there may have been some updates since the last comments. Dragon will record you and transcribe to text which you can then email, text, or copy to clip board. With Toodledo and Evernote set up in my contacts notes or tasks are added easily even when I'm driving or other times when I can't write them down. If you haven't seen this it is worth a look. |

From Topic: There is no GTD system...
yep, Things looks great except I don't have a Mac. I was reluctant to go web-based but I'm glad I did thus far. |

I agree 100%. I recent as a couple of weeks ago I was asking the question, "why is there no GTD software program?" But as you said there can be now "one size fits all" solution. Toodledo has; however, become the tool for me that cuts the drag the most. I've gotten away from paper too except for notes dropped in my inbox - and that is getting less and less with the use of Evernote - and a calendar section in my planner. I'm still refining, and always will be, but I'm spending way more time completing next actions. |

From Topic: I've finally found something that works for me
I first read GTD about three years ago and I've just finished Making It All Work. After many tries and experiments with everything from paper based systems to MS OneNote with custom templates etc to RTM as my first "cloud" system I feel like I've found my Holy Grail of GTD. With Toodledo on the web and my iPhone I have a great system of collecting, processing, organizing, reviewing, and doing. And it's always with me! However; I'm experimenting with EverNote as well and it's becoming obvious to me that if Toodledo had a NOTE feature with the power of EverNote it would truly be the most amazing GTD app I've found. If there is any thoughts of beefing up the notes app in Toodledo I would like voice my support. I think that would be a great addition and it doesn't seem like it would be too difficult. I'm not a programmer mind you but to add an EverNote type feature in the notes page seems like a sensible add in. Or maybe there is a way to do it already? I've looked at the topic on this forum breifly about EverNote integration but I still think a native app would be fantastic. Anyhow, thanks Toodledo for helping be get organized and thanks Proximo for taking the time to document and present your suggestions. am |
