From Topic: Change repeat intervals
I think your best option is to create two entries, each repeating monthly. |

From Topic: Missing (carriage) return key?
The TD notebook has a separate field for the title. You can insert returns in the note body. |

From Topic: Postponing tasks
Say it takes 10 seconds to manually postpone a single due date. Doing your xml export, excel parse, filter.... etc etc. must take you at least 10 minutes, (and I'm guessing much more) and that is the same time as manually postponing 100 tasks. Personally, if I needed to postpone that kind of volume on a regular basis, I'd reconsider the use of the due date in the first place. Use the due date for things that are really due on that date, don't use it as a sorting mechanism. |

From Topic: Repeating tasks
Posted by ftinker: Is there a way for tasks to repeat/roll forward daily until completed No. The "Optionally on" setting will only roll a repeating task forward on the repeating schedule. Non-repeating tasks will just disappear. |

From Topic: Email a task with associated notes?
There's no one step way AFAIK. 1) Use the permanent link feature to open the parent in a search tab 2) Set the search view is set to Show > Subtasks > Indented and Show Details (to expand notes) 3) Click the Print icon and then "Print to PDF" (this is built into Chrome, you may need a plug-in for other browsers) 4) attach the PDF to your email. |

From Topic: Can I mark all tasks?
You can create a custom search: Via is Import Tools You could also add a Date Added filter if you've done multiple csv imports. Then use the Multi-Edit feature to set "Deleted is Yes" for items in the search. Not a bad idea to use the backup tool before you do this. |

From Topic: setting custom due date
Posted by gjblair: There are times when the calendar wheel is useful.... Agreed. I would prefer the first tap on Due Date opens the "custom" picker, wheel or calendar... and then just get rid of the list picker altogether. Would need to add a "None" option to the calendar and wheel pickers. |

From Topic: setting custom due date
I know one possible solution: code the app to show the calendar on the first tap and get rid of the list style picker entirely. Way more efficient IMHO. |

From Topic: Toodledo Toosdays: Bookmarklet
Posted by Salgud: ...I've gotten into the habit of right-clicking on the link to the email, and opening it in a new tab. I use an extension in Chrome called "Right Click Opens Link in New Foreground Tab"... very handy with Toodledo. You can still access the menu by holding the right click. There is a similar add-on for Firefox called "Right Links". |

From Topic: repeat - 1st of each month
FWIW, I submitted a support ticket in Oct '11 requesting the ability to repeat from a specific date.... it was "on the list". (This wish is very high on my list... but I'm guessing not very high on the one that counts.) CharleneTX, my workaround is to clone the task, mark it complete (to generate the repeat), and then remove the repeat from the other one. The whole process takes six clicks. |

From Topic: Displaying tasks with No Due Date in Hotlist
The only options to control your Hotlist are: • priority of at least X • due date within the next X days • star = yes • status = "Next Action" A task only needs to match one of the above to show on the Hotlist. So for No Due Dates, you'll need to use either Priority, Star or Next Action. You can override all of these using a Start Date. |

From Topic: Repeat anually on fixed date?
No. Unfortunately, once you postpone the due date the annual repeat will be calculated from the new due date. My workaround is to clone the task, complete the original (to generate the repeat properly) and then set the repeat on the clone to "none". Another way I've done it is to redefine the task. Your annual task could be "Create tax report task" or something similar. |

FWIW, if you sync with iTunes for Windows, you can find the old version of any app you update in the Recycle Bin. |

From Topic: Checklists
Posted by Jc_1331507181: What do you mean by text note checklist? It's just a simple list in the note of a task. Here is an example of a "text note checklist": Create each item on a new line Select all text Copy all text Click on Add Subtask Click on Add Multiple Tasks Paste Text Click Save Enjoy your checklist in subtask form |

From Topic: Checklists
Posted by jim: ...Conversely, I know I could be building these lists on the task side, but then once you check something off you need to set it up to repeat, it's not totally convenient for a list you want to use every so often, but not on any set interval.... You could create a Parent/subtask checklist and label it a "template" and then clone it when you need to use it. Works with both iOS and the website. Also, it only takes a few mouse clicks to convert a text note checklist into subtasks via the "add multiple subtasks" feature (website only). I keep some lesser used checklists in Notebook and copy and paste that way. |

From Topic: Central Information Reference (CIR)
I use a simple "@" code at the end task description. For example, @A tells me reference material is in my "Active" file folder, which is my generic location for misc. items that don't justify creating a new file folder. I have a handful of these codes I use regularly. You could do the same with the folder field, but you do so at the cost of extra screen real estate, an extra field to tab through when entering tasks, etc. |

From Topic: Life and Work task total split
If you really need a 'total split', I'd go with a separate Toodledo account. You could customize each, and have zero issues to deal with when changing workspaces. |
